Disclosing HIV status requires immense courage and trust in the other person. It is an opportunity to feel trust, love, and respect in the relationship. The PLHIV Team can provide relevant professional knowledge, medical escorting service, counseling, offer partner rapid testing, and emotional support services.

Expressing current thoughts and feelings

Being candid about your thoughts and feelings, such as the need for personal space to process all the information, will make other people understand your current emotions.

Accepting your emotions

As a family member, partner, or friend, hearing this significant disclosure may evoke emotions such as anger, sadness, surprise, confusion, worry, and struggle. You may seek assistance from social workers or counselors of the PLHIV Team to help navigate these emotions.
